The California Transplant Donor Network facilitates organ and tissue donations in Northern/Central California and Northern Nevada

The Transplant Network continuously monitors the activities of Outreach Coordinators and collects statistical and demographic information about the events, the communities being served, and volunteer participation. Collection of this information was difficult because Outreach Coordinators, who work mainly in the field, had to send their information to the central office for manual processing and analysis.

Transplant Network IT and Outreach Administrators knew there was a better way to stay in touch with coordinators and keep statistics and reporting up to date. PJPM was called in to design an intranet based system.

The Outreach Event Evaluation Tools is an interactive Web based application that allows Outreach Coordinators to report on community events and volunteer participation directly from the field. The site is secured and only accessible over Transplant Network VPN in order to keep all data confidential.

The evaluation tool features a reporting section that provides real time analysis of event data. Special Excel based reports and charts are also provided; the Excel reporting spreadsheets pull data directly from the outreach event database. The new system also helps the Transpant Network comply with data requests from governmental organizations that oversee transplant donation services.
